Power Rankings: Famous Sharks

1)
Jaws
The ginormous shark that terrorized everyone in this Steven Spielberg thriller.
2)
Greg Norman
I admit I am not a golf follower, but I still know who Greg Norman is and what his nickname is. This shows you just how much this Australian meant to the game in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He was the young face, when guys like Palmer and the Golden Bear were coming to the end of their careers. Great competitor and great player.
3)
Bruce
A great white shark played by Barry Humphries in the movie “Finding Nemo.”
4)
Jabberjaw
I loved this guy from when I was a kid watching Cartoon Network. He was a crazy shark who made me love watching anything about underwater adventures. Jabberjaw never told me about his cousin Jaws, though, who would scare the life out of my cousin that following summer. I would say, “I love sharks,” and my cousin, “Are you crazy?”
5)
Jerry Tarkanian
“Tark the Shark” is one of the most successful college basketball coaches of all time.
6)
Don Lino
Leader of the mob of sharks in “Shark Tale,” voiced by Robert De Niro.
7)
Sharkie
San Jose Sharks mascot who debuted in January of 1992.
8)
Finley
Finley is a shark out on a mission. His is a difficult mission to help keep his baseball club, the Camden Riversharks’, fans happy and excited throughout an entire nine-inning game. He is a symbol of the team in the community, and I for one don’t think that mascots for minor league teams get enough credit. Players come and go, but the mascots keep children coming back.
9)
Kenneth Gant
NFL safety from 1990-1997 who was called “The Shark.” Career special-teamer who celebrated his achievements with the "Shark Dance."
10)
Sledge
The only hammerhead shark mascot on this list comes from the USL Pro team Wilmington Hammerheads. Why a hammerhead, though? Hammerheads have a much easier time with their headers and scoring off corner kicks than any other species of shark.
