Sports Briefs: In 2013, I'm Thankful For . . .

Joe: I am most thankful for living in a free country with the freedom to worship as I desire.

Chris: I’m thankful for McDonald’s “NFL Rush Zone” Happy Meals toys and for their willingness to sell me all 32 toys individually, without forcing me to also buy 32 Happy Meals.

Brad: I'm thankful for A-Rod and his explosive temper always keeping things interesting.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for my grandpa because he helped me become a better pitcher.

Joe: I am thankful for my forefathers that fought, worked and lay the foundation for our free enterprise system.

Chris: I’m thankful for the Texas Rangers trading for Prince Fielder, thereby increasing the probability of me someday naming my firstborn son Prince.

Brad: I'm thankful for Lindsey Vonn's determination to keep going after injuries.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for Ricardo Louis and his awesome play that helped Auburn beat Georgia.

Joe: I am thankful for my wonderful family, wife, daughter/husband, son/wife, and grandchildren.

Chris: I’m thankful for Agent J agreeing to use his official Men in Black flashy-thing on me after Game 6 of the NBA Finals, and for Agent J informing me that the Spurs won and that there was no footage of their celebration, since the electricity in the stadium went out.

Brad: I'm thankful for everything David Beckham has done to mainstream MLS.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for Gus Malzahn and the incredible season Auburn has had because of him.

Joe: I am thankful for my church and church family.

Chris: I’m thankful for the fact that I can now buy GoodBelly’s Blueberry Acai juice locally again, meaning I won’t have to travel 200 miles to purchase it and that I can scratch my plans to construct the world’s largest straw.

Brad: I'm thankful for the flat screen and surround sound we get to enjoy the game on while eating turkey.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for Nick Marshall because he's an awesome quarterback.

Joe: I am thankful for my engineering education at Auburn University and the career for which it prepared me.

Chris: I’m thankful for Regis Philbin hosting a program on FOX Sports 1, while hoping this will eventually give some network executive the idea to create a Ray Romano and Kevin James sports debate show.

Brad: I'm thankful for Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen for combining football and models.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for Tre Mason and that, even though he's small, he can really run the football.

Joe: I am thankful for a comfortable home with plenty of room for our hobbies and stuff.

Chris: I’m thankful for finding a 4-foot-tall plush toy of the Mighty Casey on eBay, as he makes a great nightwatchman for my house.

Brad: I'm thankful for Kanye West for showing us alternate uses for stadiums.

Ralphie: I'm thankful that I got to play pitcher for my baseball team this year.

Joe: I am thankful for afternoon naps.

Chris: I’m thankful for General Mills reintroducing Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy, to go along with Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry, causing me to purchase 10 boxes of cereal during Halloween.

Brad: I'm thankful for another season of “Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team.”

Ralphie: I'm thankful that God gave us sports.

Joe: I am thankful for sports to have played, to watch, and to attend games.

Chris: I’m thankful for homemade rolls, which are not only delicious but also allow Thanksgiving eaters to soak up excess cranberry sauce, in order to prevent everyone’s plates from looking like they were part of a murder scene.

Brad: I'm thankful for Lance Armstrong for finally coming clean and showing that even role models aren't perfect.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for my daddy because he plays catch with me.

Joe: I am thankful for the time my wife and I have to be able to spend together and with our grandchildren.

Chris: I’m thankful for Michael Jordan agreeing to replace the Bobcats name with the original Hornets name next season, while simultaneously hoping that I will be able to fit into my Hornets T-shirt, sweatshirt, sweatpants and jacket that I proudly wore in junior high.

Brad: I'm thankful for my family and everything they do for me.

Ralphie: I'm thankful for my mommy because she always encourages me.

Joe: I am thankful to God for all the above.

Brad: I'm thankful for the amazing school I go to!

Ralphie: I'm thankful that my brother and sister always play poleball with me. It's a game I made up that's a lot like baseball but played on a trampoline.
