Sports Briefs: MLS Cup 2014 Media Day

(The Gab Four didn't attend Media Day at MLS Cup 2014, mainly because there was no Media Day. But had there been, here is what they would have asked members of the Los Angeles Galaxy and New England Revolution, sponsored by 3 Spoons Yogurt)

Joe: I would like to ask the Galaxy owner why the name Galaxy.

Chris: I would like to ask Lee Nguyen if he has ever played “Nguyen, Lose or Draw.”

Ralphie: I would like to ask Jurgen Klinsmann if he is ready to take the spotlight from Landon Donovan.

Joe: Likewise, I would like to ask the Revolution owner which revolution they are named after, or what revolution they started by naming the team that.

Chris: I would like to ask Robbie Keane what he would eat for a hypothetical last meal: corned beef and cabbage or a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Ralphie: I would like to ask Landon Donovan if he knows that his name would be a good name for a character in a book.

Joe: I would to ask all players of both teams which player would make the best NFL field goal kicker.

Chris: I would like to ask Robert Kraft what will be the larger number after MLS Cup on Sunday: the number of goals scored by the Revolution or the number of MLS games he’s attended this season.

Ralphie: I would like to ask Jermaine Jones if it's hard to stay focused when he's busy making famous friends and going to fancy parties.

Joe: I would like to ask how the Galaxy is going beat the Revolution after a 5-0 embarrassing loss to them.

Chris: I would like to ask Jaime Penedo if he is the least bit concerned about Galaxy goalkeeper coach and former Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis slipping him a horse tranquilizer before the match.

Ralphie: I would like to ask the Revs what their strategy is to beat the Galaxy.

Chris: I would like to ask Landon Donovan if dying is hair blond or celebrating a goal in 2001 by taking off his shirt to reveal female undergarments was the greatest mistake of his career.

Ralphie: I would like to ask Bruce Arena what advice he would give to young soccer players.

Joe: I would to ask the Galaxy how they will overcome the excellent midfield of the Revolution.

Chris: I would like to ask Andrew Farrell if he would be willing to join David Letterman and Michael Strahan for a rendition of “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth.”

Ralphie: I would like to ask Landon Donovan what it would mean to him to be the MLS G.O.A.T.
