Power Rankings: Famous Dinosaurs

1)
Godzilla
Can you believe this guy has been around for 60 years? First appeared in 1954 in Japan.
2)
Yoshi
One of my favorite Mario characters. Cute little guy with a propensity to swallow everything in sight. Best combo is “Super Mario World” with Mario wearing the cape and Yoshi in tow.
3)
Dino
The greatest pet ever. Some of my best memories were seeing that DOG-like dino always attacking Fred Flintstone with licks of affection.
4)
Gunnersaurus
Gunnersaurus is a pretty cool mascot for the Premier League to have. It’s better for Arsenal than somebody trying to pull around a big cannon everywhere.
5)
The Raptor
Red dinosaur mascot for Toronto, named after the Velociraptors from “Jurassic Park” fame. Claim to fame is being one of Portland Trail Blazer Robin Lopez's victims in his vendetta against mascots. Lol.
6)
Rex
Voiced by Wallace Shawn in the “Toy Story” movies. A plastic green Tyrannosaurus Rex. Always afraid of everything . . . ironic.
7)
Dinger
Love the name of the Colorado Rockies mascot. When your name is the analogy for a homerun, you can’t go wrong.
8)
Littlefoot
The star of the 1988 movie “The Land Before Time,” the orphaned Littlefoot made friends with four other young dinosaurs, none of whom, fortunately, viewed the other as lunch. Together, they made their way to safety in the Great Valley, and eventually on to Pizza Hut, where they became hand puppets.
9)
Barney
This could be the most hated and loved dino ever. Hated by adults everywhere and loved by kids. I was lucky enough for my kids to have no interest in him.
10)
Purplesaurus Rex
He may not generate as strong of emotions as the other purple dinosaurs on this list, but this Kool-Aid pitching terrible lizard clearly has a more sensible palate than Dino (preferring his own grape and lemon flavored drink mix, as opposed to Dino’s bowl of water). Plus, P-Rex is actually older than both Barney and Dinger, originally debuting in the 1980s.
