“Joe” is Tee Joyce, and besides being an avid golfer, he is a consummate observer of all sports, including the sport of kings. Observation includes opinion, and Tee is full of those. You don’t have to agree with him, but he says that you should never defer to lack of information to form your own opinion. And amazingly enough, he likes to listen to other’s opinions.

Tee is a lifelong resident of St. Louis and has played most golf courses in the bi-state, at least those he thought were worth playing (there go his opinions again). He boasts that his best round was a 74 at Pebble Beach, but even he admits that was a few years back.

Tee is old enough to have been a fan at all three Cardinal baseball stadiums and claims to have personally met many of the Cardinals, but then who hasn’t met Ozzie, Shannon, Whitey, Shoendienst and Gibson? But wait till he tells you about taking George Sisler to Cardinal baseball games back in the summer of ’66. Wow.

• Ladies Pro Golf—can’t pronounce their names, they can’t speak our language.
• Men’s Pro Golf—these guys are good, just not personable.
• Tiger—next.
• Lacrosse—rich boy’s pickup lines.
• Pool—like pretzels with beer.
